Here come the holidays! The warm smell of gingerbread will soon fill the halls of the Episcopal Church in Middlebury as they prepare for the annual Gingerbread Village and Christmas Bazaar starting the first weekend of December.
For over 55 years the church has welcomed the community to enjoy a stroll through their completely edible holiday spectacular. This year’s creations will bring everyone “home for the holidays” with whimsical reminders of our families and friends and the true spirit of the holidays. The scents of gingerbread, candies, and sugar tickle our noses as everyone is invited to stroll through and delight in the houses, chalets, snowmen, cottages, barns and special pieces that make the village a holiday favorite for all. As always, all pieces will be on sale throughout the week and will be available to take home on the final day.
In addition to the village, this cherished event includes the sale of decorate your own gingerbread cookie kits “to go”, homemade crafts, handcrafted woodwork, bake sale, and raffle baskets. In leiu of a lunch we will be offering soup for sale in a to-go style.
The Gingerbread Village is free to the public (donations welcome!) with plenty of parking.
Time: 2-4pm and 6-8 pm
