8:30 AM - 10:30 AM: Bird Hike at Beech Woods - Percy Warner Park, Nashville

Fall migration is happening now! Explore the interior of Percy Warner Park and look for warblers, tanagers, sparrows and more.

Cost: Free, but must register at http://wpnc.nashville.gov/ for precise location

10:00 AM - 6:00 PM: 47th Annual Pink Palace Crafts Fair - Audubon Park, Memphis

Come shop, play and explore at the 47th Annual Pink Palace Crafts Fair! With over 100 craftsman featuring everything from wood-working, pottery, woven goods, glass work, jewelry and more, the 47th Annual Pink Palace Crafts Fair is an annual tradition celebrating the very best in crafts and art. Enjoy live music, kid's activities, craft demonstrations, food, craft beer and good times!

6:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Rutherford Arts Alliance Collaborative Show - City Hall Rotunda, Murfreesboro

Multidisciplined works by Alliance artists and Youth Council artists.

Reception 6-9 during the Boro Art Crawl open to the public.

Will feature visual art, poetry and music.

7:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Telescope Nights (Ages 8+) - Vanderbilt Dyer Observatory, Brentwood

The Dyer Observatory telescopes will be set up for gazing, and the observatory will be open for viewing exhibits and speaking with astronomers. The format is “open house” so you may arrive and depart any time during the event. There will not be a formal talk/program on these nights unless otherwise noted. Suggested for ages 8 and up.

Please note:

The Seyfert Telescope is located on the second floor of the observatory. There are twenty steps leading to the second floor.
For the safety of all observatory guests, closed-toe footwear must be worn.
Vehicles larger than a standard-size school bus will not fit through the gate.
You do not need to bring a printed ticket; there will be a guest list at the gate.
Alert the parking attendant at the gate if you have special parking needs.
If your plans change and you can not attend, please let us know so we may release the space to someone else.

Cost: $6.27 per person ($5.00 admission plus $1.27 online handling fee.) Each person must have their own reservation.
